Yeah, that Anubis stuff was real interesting. One part read that he was the Patron of mummification and the dead on their path through the underworld. It read that Anubis was the god of the dead until Osiris took over. Osiris reminds me of Jacob.

What?! That'crazy. Can you imagine if that rumor proved to be true? That would be awesome. And yes, I remember the episode of him building the replica. What you're saying about Anubis is all new to me. I want to check that out now. I'll be back.

Thanks.

With Richard, I think it's one of two possibilities. Either he came on the Black Rock (he was building a replica of it in a bottle), or he's got some kind of Egyptian ties. That would explain the eye liner, and also it's been rumored that there's gonna be some shot with him and he only has 4 toes. Anubis was a Jackyl/Dog god of the underworld. So maybe Richard has some connection to or is an embodiment of Anubis. Because when Ben is in the temple to be judged there's a carving on the wall of Anubis facing opposite of a representation of the smoke monster (cerberus) and it looked very snakelike.

Good point rev. It makes more sense, but at the same time it still boggles the mind. I can only assume, that what happened in there will be revealed next year. Hey rev, earlier you said that Nemesis could quite possibly be Apep, I googled what you said and it was very interesting, but yesterday I saw a tvguide.com video about "Richard theories". And one of them was that Richard could also be Apep. There wasn't much to justify it except for the eyeliner. I don't think that Richard is Apep, but others do. Anyway, keep your posts coming Rev, I can't wait see what you have to say next.

It never specifically showed who healed Ben after Sayid shot him.
It just showed Richard carrying him into the temple. But it would stand to reason that Jacob's nemesis was the one that healed him seeing as how he's inhabiting Locke to manipulate others, and plus Ben is so evil, so anything is possible. And if the nemesis and the smoke monster are one in the same, then it used Alex's form to manipulate Ben into following Locke's orders (because he knew he would have control of Locke, and moving all the pawns so to speak).

As far as Richard and Eloise conceiving, maybe , but I doubt it. We aren't quite sure what the deal is with Richard yet, or what he can do. Maybe he just has the immortality/eternal youth and can't do anything else. Or maybe he is being punished for something he did if he did indeed arrive on the Black Rock. So if it were a curse he wouldn't have the blessing of being able to father children. Plus that wouldn't really work, because Desmond is older than Faraday, and Eloise was an adult when she was pregnant with Daniel.

Koro- I was just assuming that there would have been contact between the two of them. But, obviously, it's just wishful thinking.
I was also wondering about the LOOPHOLE. If Nemesis couldn't kill Jacob without a loophole, then there must be someone or something above them both. It brings me back to an episode in which Chatrles Widmore asks Ben if he was there to kill him. And Ben replied "we both know I can't do that". I'm going crazy over this hiatus. But at least we get 18 episodes next year instead of 16.

spero - That's the best part!! Penny would Not be related in that way to Desmond.

Richard + Eloise = Desmond
Charles + Eloise = Daniel
Charles + ? = Penny

...why do you think Charles shows such Contempt for Desmond. He would not be happy that Eloise moved onto Richard and have a boy...and now Penny falls in Love with that boy...looking at it from a Dad point of view, I could understand the unwarranted hatred directed at Desmond, (a bit beyond feeling like Desmond isn't good enough for his daughter).

Richard obviously has a thing for Eloise...he would even butt-stroke her in the head to save her life!! Maybe she repays his kindness with haveing a baby with him??
Has Desmond ever met Richard on Lost??

obsessed815 - Did Jacob heal Ben?? I just saw Richard take a dieing Ben into the Temple, and later return him in a considerably more improved state.

1- The statue is Egyptian Goddess Tawaret. She the Goddess of fertility and childbirth.
2- The smoke takes over the dead, but also the living, ie. Shannon seeing Walt outside her tent when he and Michael were clearly off the island. Finally, I found a list of titles for the first 6 episodes. Here they are:
1/2- LA X
3- What Kate does
4- The substitute
5- Lighthouse
6- Sundown

Yeah you're probably right. That episode was one of my favorites, actually, any episode with Richard is a favorite of mine. I cant wait to see his story. It would be insane if he came from The Black Rock. What do think his past will reveal? Is he related to Jacob? We will soon find out. While I'm on the topic of relations, does anyone think that Ilana is Jacob's daughter? She is the only person that he did not touch. And he said he was sorry he couldn't be there sooner.

Revolution_IsMy_Name says:
(Fri Oct 23 03:45:31 2009 24.149.68.106)
The book of laws thing, I dunno, could be. I'm more inclined to think it's a handbook of guidelines for anyone that assumes leadership of the others. Because when Richard goes to visit Locke when he's a little boy he's upset that he picks the knife instead of the book.

The person in the chair on the first visit to the cabin was supposedly "Jacob" but it wouldn't be surprising if Jacob's Nemesis was posing as Jacob to manipulate people. The actor in the chair on that first visit was just a random guy because they didn't know yet who they were casting for Jacob/Nemesis yet.

That's interesting Rev. Who did you think was in the chair when John and Ben first went to see Jacob? After so many viewings, it appears to be Horace. Still not 100%, but I think it is. And Rev, what do you think about "The Book Of Laws" possibly being "The Book Of The Dead"?

^ v
Revolution_IsMy_Name says:
(Fri Oct 23 01:58:43 2009 24.149.68.106)
Yeah,

The story would definitely help to explain a few things in the show. Like Jin, Sun, and Sayid seeing the left foot (Jacob's dwelling), when they were out on the boat.
Also would explain manifestations on the island, such as Yemi, Alex after she was killed and appeared to Ben underneath the temple, Christian in various forms of appearance (in the beginning in the black suit with white shoes, leading Jack through the jungle and almost to his death, and later on in lighter colored clothes with dark socks. In both instances his clothing gives off symbolism of juxtapositions between dark vs. light.), and John Locke as Pseudo-Locke. And the hypnotic "gaze", Locke said he looked into the eye of the island and what he saw was beautiful. Apep was seen as a deceiver so perhaps he was hypnotizing John with his gaze in order to dupe him into being able to use him to carry out his plan against Jacob later on.

Someone earlier on mentioned something about the ring of ash being broken around the cabin. The cabin we see is essentially the cabin that Horace built when he was in the D.I. There's a story in ancient Egyptian lore about Horus trapping his 4 sons in jars. Maybe the cabin is symoblic of one of the jars and the broken line of ash is symoblic of the jar being broken and the containment powers no longer being effective. In a lot of old religions a circle of salt or ash is believed to keep evil spirits at bay and imprisoned.

The quote made by Ben/Locke regarding the two authors (one humbled by the other) was not made by Hemingway about Fyodor Dostoevsky (to the best of my research). The quote WAS made by Stephen King regarding H.P. Lovecraft. King felt he would never be able to escape the shadow of Lovecraft's writing.
In the same episode where the quote was made, it shows the plane crash with Ben holding the book "Carrie", done as a quick wink. I believe Ben even asked for a King book.

Rev- That was really interesting. I know you already know this but I gotta put it down here because it's just that good. There was a guide to fighting Apep, and the chapters described a gradual process of dismemberment and disposal which included several things, but the one that got me the most was, "defiling Apep with the left foot". Also in their battles, Apep was thought to use a magical gaze to hypnotise Ra. Just like the smoke monster. The best part that I read was that Apep was thought to devour souls, which meant even the dead needed protection. Perhaps the dead on the island had their souls consumed. Thanks Rev. Now I got a little something. What if "The Book Of Laws" is also "The Book Of The Dead"?

In regards to the Egyptian mythology/Smoke Monster dynamics of the show, I did some research a while back and found an interesting story:

"In Egyptian mythology, Apep (also spelled Apepi, and Aapep, or Apophis in Greek) was an evil demon, the deification of darkness and chaos (isfet in Egyptian), and thus opponent of light and Ma'at (order/truth), whose existence was believed from the Middle Kingdom onwards. His name is reconstructed by Egyptologists as *ʕAʔpāpī because of written ʕ3pp(y), surviving into later Coptic as Aphōph.
Apep formed part of the more complex cosmic system resulting from the identification of Ra as Atum, i.e. the creation of Atum-Ra, and the subsequent merging of the Ogdoad and Ennead systems. Consequently, since Atum-Ra, who was later referred to simply as Ra, was the solar deity, bringer of light, and thus the upholder of Ma'at, Apep was viewed as the greatest enemy of Ra, and thus was given the title Enemy of Ra.
As the personification of all that was evil, Apep was seen as a giant snake/serpent, crocodile, or occasionally as a dragon in later years, leading to such titles as Serpent from the Nile and Evil Lizard. Some elaborations even said that he stretched 16 yards in length and had a head made of flint. It is to be noted that already on a Naqada I (ca. 4000 BC) C-ware bowl (now in Cairo) a snake was painted on the inside rim combined with other desert and aquatic animals as a possible enemy of a (solar?) deity who is invisibly hunting in a big rowing vessel.[2] Also, comparable hostile snakes as enemies of the sun god existed under other names (in the Pyramid Texts and Coffin Texts) already before the name Apep occurred. The etymology of his name ('3pp) is perhaps to be sought in some west-semitic language where a word root 'pp meaning 'to slither' existed. A verb root '3pp does at any rate not exist elsewhere in Ancient Egyptian. (It is not to be confused with the verb 'pi/'pp: 'to fly across the sky, to travel') Apep's name much later came to be falsely connected etymologically in Egyptian with a different root meaning (he who was) spat out; the Romans referred to Apep by this translation of his name."

Not gonna go into long detail with the rest of the story I found. If you wanna know more about it google "Ra and Apep."
Anyway, in the story it talks about Apep being the enemy of light and appearing in certain form. And the smoke monster "slithers" around the island. Also the story said Apep was 16 yards in length, and as we've seen Smokey is quite long and big. And the "head of flint" as Apep is described having, the smoke monster is always a black/dark gray shade. So maybe Jacob's Nemesis is a representation of Apep, and Jacob being the light is a representation of Ra. Could explain why there is so much Egyptian symbolism and tie ins throughout the show.

I have no proof of this KoRoBaRo but I kind of look at Jacob this way. If Smokie changes faces, maybe so does Jacob. Maybe Jacob was not a definite person the way the name implies but more of an "it". In one form, he likes the rustic cabin. In another form, he likes living inside statues. In another form (if the dog picture in the cabin didn't tip it off) he might like rummaging through the island and digging up things, comforting really 'lost' Losties, etc. Without proof, it's just a thought.
Oh, and I think the Egyptians got their stuff handed down to them from something else, somewhere else in time; "and they brought their images and likenesses with them". I would Love to say more in my Crafty way, but maybe this is a start. If I say more, I fear someone might throw an asterisk at me, or a chide, or an exclusivity.

I just saw Zombieland and I never laughed so hard in my life. Well, maybe once, when Hurley threw the Hot Pocket at Ben. Or at Monte Python and the Holy Grail. Or Army of Darkness. Good flicks one and all!

Last time I checked, if your friend's sitting next to you on a porch 'drinkin lager', you didn't need to post to them on a board. Vocal cords work just fine. If they aren't sitting next to you, it can't be much more of a friendship than someone making aimless posts. Cheers and be merry and welcome to all. To quote Bill Murray on Stripes, "One of these guys just might save your life someday; then again maybe one of them won't".

And yes, it's a board to discuss a TV show, nowhere do I see a rule that says "You have to suck up and kiss people's behinds in order to post here." Most of you are friends and social, that's great more power to you I'm happy for you, BUT just because I'm not sucking up to any of you, doesn't give you poetic license to bash me. You don't like me? Fine that's cool I'm grown, I have no problems with that, but if I make a post in relevance to the show, STICK TO THE SHOW, and keep the personal b.s. out of it.

Hellooooo Fu-Sa-Laaaaaage!!!

Just sayin' to everyone and anyone in the room. Not a group of people. Not to one specific person.

This is a community, and, usually, communities are known for their friendliness; for hanging out with neighbors on their front porches or on the sidewalks in front; known for a group of friends to talk with each other, over each other; even when one is not specifically addressed.

If there is anyone in this room that is not here to make friends or be liked... anyone that is simply here to discuss and exchange theories on the show with others and that's it, then this is, quite apparently, not the site for that particular anyone(s). There are tons of sites out there that don't have the friendship and comeraderie that the Fuselage is known for.

Just sayin' to everyone and anyone...

or someone...
or number one...

Another Canadian, I love it. Yeah about the statue, I think there is more than one. When Sayid and Jin and Sun were on Desmond's boat looking for Jack they show the statue. But we see the statue's LEFT foot. Okay? But in the finale, Locke and Ben go into the right foot of a statue. Also, when the island was moving in time on it's own Lafleur and Miles clearly see another statue with feet spread apart, I think? Let me know what you think.

Obsessed - EH!!!! I live in Winnipeg!! We are practically Neighbors!! We will have to ask OMF if we can have a CaNuK table in his Cafe.

As far as the Egyptian Lore on Lost, well, I really have no idea how everything lines up, yet.

Why does Jacob live inside the statue? What was the point of having a cabin then? As some sort of weekend retreat?? Why was Bram freaking out when he saw the ash around Jacob's cabin was broken?

Was it UnLocke that pushed Mikhail into the security fence? He was soo out of character. Even the "Other" Losties were shocked and surprised by his behaviour...it did remind me, however, of something more familiar of the behaviour that UnLocke displayed.

Hey KoRo that was a nice toast. But you should rememeber that some people are "too limited to see". But anyway forget about Rev. I'll have a beer with you. But you gotta come out to Ontario Canada to have it. I'm a guy just like you, I love my Lost and I love my beer. So anyway back to Lost. Let me know what you think about the Egyptian lore theory. Anyone else feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Even you Rev, your Lost knowledge is up there with the best of them. Lost fans are the craziest and most intense fans out there. So to me, every heated moment that goes on here is completly understandable. It's all good, I think we are all a little bit obsessed. But the only thing I know for sure is that everyone on this site has something on their mind about this show, so spit it out people. I'm dying to hear a new theory or prediction. Let's clear a couple of things up.

One:
I do talk about Lost, frequently.
I know who my "daddy" is, and it isn't you.

Two:
The incident with Helio, yes I was a jerk to him, but he was first, I said nothing to Yosoy or anyone that made comments about it nor did I have issues with them until they interjected themselves into it when it was none of their concern. I just don't tolerate being talked down to or disrespected. Nor did I start anything with Koro, I just simply told him don't get smart. Again, a statement directed at someone else and you jumped in and came at me looking for "beef", not the other way around. I never even addressed or engaged in conversation with you until you called me out. So please by all means, don't try to put it off on me.

Three:
In all actuality, I dislike conflict, and try to avoid it, but when someone comes at me out of the blue, as you did without provocation, I'm going to defend myself.

For those that don't like me, hey that's fine I have no problems with that, you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that, it's cool. Leave me be and I will extend the same consideration and courtesy. And as for wanting me banned, for those who have that ability, take into consideration and read the posts , I didn't instigate the Obsessed situation.

For everyone else, happy posting.

Anyway I am obsessed. And I could be wrong about the Jacob/Esau thing. Maybe it's not a biblical thing, it could even be Egyptian lore like Seth to Jacob's Osiris and the battle on the floating river. Then again NEMESIS could even be the shapeshifting smoke. I agree there is something mysterious about Cindy. Cute and innocent, little baby of the Brady Bunch family, my a..! She got the other siblings in more trouble or got them caught or taddled on them. She was the Ben of that show if you ask me........
Oooohhhh, THAT Cindy! Yeah, she's weird too. Getting Jack tanked up on the airplane. She even gave him one extra bottle on the plane; almost as if she knew he would need one extra to sterilize the needle with. Hhhhmmmm! I wonder if she handed Kate one of those airplane barf bags. If she did, that would seal the deal! "I might throw up on you, Jack."

Hey wait! Didn't Jack open up one of the two bottles on the plane??? Yet he had both bottles still sealed in his jacket when he woke up??? Hhhhmmmm!

Wouldn't it make sense by now to assume that an airline (fairly new upstart one) could be owned by a private group of "special" investors. Investors who are interested in finding 'new and exciting' destinations? These investors would obviously want to own an airline that uses oceanic routes. They might be scientists. They might be something more.

Jack's dad was on the plane with him, awaiting buriel. Jack's grandfather was going to 'disappear to a place no one would ever be able to find him' while 'carrying a pair of black shoes' because he needed to. Coincidence? I think not!

Obsessed,

Um, yeah, I'm quite aware the show has biblical references, as well as references to other religions.
And just because there's a bible story about Jacob and his brother Esau, does NOT automatically mean that is the dynamic/relationship between Jacob and his enemy.
Like I said NO one knows or will know until the season starts except the writers and cast. Not even you.
And childish spat? Son, the only one being childish here, is you. I was replying to something someone said to me, and that someone was not you, yet you chose to come at me with some "I know everything , you know nothing" attack out of nowhere. Being a fan and knowledgeable is one thing, being arrogant is another. Methinks you have the line between reality and a science fiction show blurred. Yeah it's fun to be a fan and be into a show, even be hooked on it, but you truly live up to your name because you are just a tad bit too obsessed. What if Cindy is nothing more than just a red herring??

What if she is just going along with what she has been told by the "Others" and simply going thru the motions which just happens to bring her in contact with the "Losties" from time to time.

To be honest, the only reason why I started to believe there was something beyond her character as a simple flight attendant and just another crash survivor, was the fact that she gave Jack the alcohol that he would later need and use to clean his wound.

Beyond that, she just kept popping up along the way...just enough to keep questioning, in my case, what her "Role" in all of this is?? ...bystander or manipulator??

What is your take on the Painting in Widmore's office in 1994 by Thomas...but Thomas never created that painting until after 2000?? That was a good mystery...thoughts??

Obsessed,

I meant don't get smart, as in don't cop an attitude or be condescending, and I wasn't addressing someone else. So kill the attitude please.

And for the record, it has not been said yet who Jacob's enemy is, or if they're related, nor have they called him Esau. No one other than the writers and cast know his name. He's simply referred to in the cast list as "Jacob's Nemesis". There's no substantial evidence to conclude your conjecture. And I know a lot about the show too, I paid attention to every episode thus far.
And I already knew what the inscriptions on the tapestry Jacob made said. One is a line from Homer's 'The Odyssey', and they translate to "May the Gods grant thee thy heart's desire", and "May the Gods grant thee happiness."

Cindy is just one of the flight attendants aboard 815 that was taken along with the 2 children when they were with the people that were in the tail section. Pretty sure Ben or someone duped her into believing they were the good guys because she certainly didn't seem like she wanted to leave. She seemed relaxed with them.

Hiya 'Lagelings! Just chiming in on Desmond's vision of Claire and the baby getting on a helicopter - it IS one of the most puzzling unanswered mysteries. SOOOOO many things can happen in S6, I just gotta believe we simply haven't gotten our answer YET. There's SO much I'd love to see resolved with Claire and Charlie, and Desmond's part in their story. I'd love to see Claire and Desmond get some closure on Charlie's death. I ADORED Hurley's beautiful scenes in Beginning of the End but it did keep that from happening - Claire and Des never did get to speak together.

Aaanyway, there are just way too many seeds planted for me to think we won't get some of this stuff tied up, yeah? :)

Yeah it's too bad it will be over. But I'm certain that everything will be answered. I read a theory on another sight about the merging of FRINGE and LOST. This gives me hope. And it makes sense. Fringe deals many of the things that Lost consists of, like the afterlife and time/space travel and let's not forget the Observer(Fringe)and the others who work for Ben in the real world. So it would seem possible that maybe a Lost character could end up interacting with a Fringe character. Maybe even being part of the show.
This is for Spero and everyone else but I'm sure you have all been there already. WWW.Lost.com/forum (It should say FIREFLY on the top) There's alot of theories. Thanks Spero.

obsessed- you make a good point and it's one that others here have touched on: Desmond's vision of Claire leaving with Aaron was wrong. This may trash the idea that things are carved in stone and cannot be changed. The choice he made when Naomi landed on the island changed his vision of Penny being there as well. Jacob says to BSG (black shirt guy, not battle star galactica!) something about how things happen over and over but there is only one end. This leads me to believe that he is waiting for someone to get it right and end the cycle. I also think that a lot of what Farady had told us is misinformation, or at the least not complete info.
As far as keeping the series going after season 6, TPTB have planned 6 seasons from the very beginning. They wanted to make sure to satisfy fans before they got into something big and the network decided to cancel them leaving us hanging. It's sad, but I feel like they cared about us enough to ensure closure.

KR- I know!! Cindy tweaks me too! What is up with her and her confusion over Jack's response to her questions; he's in a cage for pete's sake!!

I think Cindy was an outside consultant just like Faraday's mother Eloise. As much as I am curious about her, I am more interested in what happened to Claire and Christian. The most baffling of all is that DESMOND told CHARLIE he saw Claire and Aaron leave the island in his VISION but Claire never left. How come that vision was the only one to not happen. This is not the end for Aaron, at least I hope not. Aaron was one of the few people to be born on the island and that makes him very important. Tell me what you think.

I watched a show on the science channel about atoms and it talked about a scientist named Paul Dirac who proposed the theory of antimatter in 1927. He was the first to 'piece together' quantum mechanics and quantum electrodynamics which would then lead to this new discovery.

A scientist named Chang (at least part of the name) was the first to suggest beta-capture to discover neutrinos.

As an aside, 1927 was also the year a certain author wrote about a 'piecing together of info within the sciences'. Just spooky!

According to the show, it was theorized that this meant that an alternate universe is always in existence around us. (For those who follow Fringe, you know exactly where this is going)! The show stated that the meeting of a group of particles and antiparticles would be disastrous, even devastating, more than likely cataclysmic. It would have the force of milions of nuclear bombs going off all at once.

No wonder Chang didn't want the rabbits to touch! Whew! This would also tie in the earlier joke about the exploding bunny with the pacemaker implant.

All this for two characters who had no dialogue and less than 30 seconds of cameratime! And that's why we're all LOST!!!

Teaching art classes 4 times a month...
Watching Auburn football.

Everyday Regular Stuff:

Working on a Science Fair Project on Jupiter.
Learning about whales..
AND studying theories on LOST!!!
AND wishing Grey's Anatomy and Fringe didn't come on at the same time.
I also enjoy watching Criminal Minds.

I see there are a lot of new fuse bunnies...Shello!

OH and another thing is we found out the sex of Tabitha's baby(about a month ago) and we are having a "boy" whose name will be Roma James Bouranis. Jim and I would like to be called G-mama and G-papa...like P-Daddy. We are sooooo excited(including the hamsters). that's another reason why i've been busy because i'm knitting booties and in the process of making a baby quilt(reason for taking quilting class).

who knows I might be called "G-hamie"...i think we might have to get some hamster nannies to help with the baby when it gets here(February).

Someone mentioned the Penguins of Madagascar (think it was Sherry)- I love that show!
I especially love the episode where Marlene the Otter got free and left the zoo. Upon crossing the zoo barrier, she went nuts; she reverted back to something more 'primitive'. She threw aside her reasoning and civil obedience and lived on "free will" alone. (I guess no one was going to tell her what to do!)
She then focused her newfound freedom on knocking the penguins around a bit, then set her sites on King Julian as a love interest. (She wanted him about as bad as Jack wanted Kate, Kate wanted Sawyer, Sawyer wanted Juliet, Rose wanted Bernard, Charlie wanted Claire, o.k. you get the point). She grabs Julien and spies a great monolith covered in heiroglyphs (wink) and proceeds to climb atop the monolith. Once she reaches the top, she no longer wants to make love to Julien but to sacrifice him by throwing him off the top! (That's why we call it sacrifice, John). She howled with delight at the prospect of her kill. (Pipe down, Smokie, this is her moment!) It then quickly turns into a King Kong parody which loses the flaire of what could have been an oh-so-great tribute to what-could-have-been. The penguins caught Marlene and took her back to the zoo; once she crossed the barrier, she was fine once again seeing she was back home.

MissPants - Sorry about the insurance problems. Stand on them and stand on them again; they'll eventually cave. It's cheaper to them to give in and pay than to risk ending up in court. They use their non-payment stance as a bluff and the average individual doesn't even challenge them.

Too bad we can't gather all the CEO's of insurance companies up, put them on a boat, and send them to the island with a sign on the side of the boat that reads "Ben's Mercs". Give Keamy a clean shot!

Spero and Sherry - I am also hesitant about the remake of "V", but it's been long enough since I saw the original I don't think the remake will spoil it. It also had a political charge to it (height of the cold war) so it may not mesh as well with the remake. The original had a 'Red Dawn written by Orson Wells' vibe. There will definitely be some changes for it to work or it will bomb.

While pruning some roses I thought about a question to ask you all. When Jacob is hunched over, after being stabbed by Ben, he says "they're coming"... Who do you guys think he's referring to? I've read a few posts on other boards and it seems like the majority of people believe it's the Oceanic 6 or the original 815 crew. Oh, headache...

No patron or limes might have been harmed last night but I'm sure feeling the pain. And its sooo not helpful being up so early. I love my kitties dearly but they are earlybirds and I forgot to stow them away in the garage last night so I was awoken by one plaintive "I'm hungry" meow from the hallway (Misty), one purring, drooly kitty face in my face (Max) and, well, Mindy is the stealthy one so I really don't know where she was but as soon as I got up she just sort of appeared, ready to be fed.

MissPants - Luvs me some penguins too! They crack me up. And, frankly, I've had quite enough Spongebob so they are a refreshing change. I had the same insurance for about 15 years and never had any problems. No PCPs or referrals. Just show up, pay my copay and done. Loved it!

Jdam - Loved V back in the 80's. I generally don't like remakes so I sort of have mixed feelings on the new one. We'll see how it turns out. And I like Elizabeth so I'll watch just for her.

For Tuneful Tuesday we'll take a little walk down memory lane and go a little country with Tanya Tucker and "Jose Cuervo"....Ah, the good ol' days....

Is anyone else ready for "V"? The original series came out when I was around 7 or 8, and I had to beg my parents to let me watch it. The birth of the hybrid alien baby scared the ---- out of me! Then the lead alien ate the hamster (whole) and I was hooked into the "darker side" of sci-fi. I was still too young to see "Alien".

For tuneful Tuesday, I pick "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll" by Judas Priest for latest Fringe episode, and "All Secrets Known" by Alice In Chains for a general Lost song. "There's no going back to the place we started from".

Normally Columbus Day is da bomb since it marks the beginning (for me atleast) of all those lovely government holidays that I would have gotten off if I were still working for the government. And since I'm not it is just annoying to find out that my new insurance company was closed today. Seems I need a referral or something to go see a specialist to remove more skin from my ear where I had a mole removed back in August. One little biopsy comes back as melanoma and everyone freaks and I don't know how my new insurance works and have to reschedule and, well, it was quite frustrating. Please wish this blonde some luck on figuring out her new insurance.

And on a random note, my cat Mindy was thoroughly engaged with Return of the Jedi this evening. At least until the commercial. So I switched channels until I grabbed her attention again and it wound up being Penguins of Madagascar. My son would be so proud. Am I evil for turning my kitty into a couch potato who loves talking commando penquins? Or was it the flamboyant egotistical lemur with delusions of grandeur? Or is this just a sign that I watch too much TV with my kids?

Good Morning Fuselage, I have been away in NYC, but I'm back now. Oh, and I was at Columbus Circle several times while in NYC, which is very fitting for today.

Heliofez, yes, I've heard of the Star Wars concert, but it's very different. With the Fellowship concert, they played the entire movie and performed the soundtrack live, starting with the opening credits when the New Line logo comes up and playing straight through the end credits. With the Star Wars concert, they are playing live to the screen, but it's segments of all the films in the series, all six of them, and comes with a laser show, etc. It does look cool, but it's not quite the same experience.

That being said, seeing the music performed live to the images you are so familiar with is an incredible experience, no matter which film it is.

ChrsMarlowe, they are actually performing this in Michigan next weekend, but beyond that, I don't know what they will do. It takes nearly a year for the conductor to learn one of the films. He's using an old fashioned visual reference technology invented by Hollywood in the 1930's when sound first came in. They used to use a grease pencil on the film to put various symbols on the film to represent music entering, or a tempo change, or whatever else. The film was not written on, the conductor used a computer screen with various flashing lights and moving lines to help him synch the music to the film. Since it takes so long to learn this, it would seem more cost effective to perform it in more than one place. And he uses his own orchestra, the 21st Century Orchestra from Lucern, Switzerland, who happened to be staying at our hotel. That was kind of cool. Anyhow, rather than just the symphony being performed in different cities by the local orchestra, this particular format needs to be done by this conductor and his orchestra because they specialize in Performance Film Scores.

I just got an email that proves Lost is all real! (come on, you all think it too!) It was pictures of an island being forced to the surface by volcanic activity. It started with a bunch of volcanic rock floating above the waves, then the people on the boat watching saw a huge geyser of steam shoot up in the distance which was followed by a land mass pushing its way to the surface! It's email, so who knows, but it was pretty nifty...and I figured it must be THE Island!! It was in the South Pacific. Now we just have to find those fishermen and make them tell us where they were exactly! ;)

Loca- It has just been brought to my attention that if I learned Spanish, I would be able to make more at my second job. Since I have Latin, I figured it wouldn't be too far of a jump. I'm aware it wasn't coined just for me nor was I thinking I was special. I'm clever enough to catch on to the meaning there. The point I was trying to convey to you is if you don't want someone to be insulting or have an attitude then perhaps you should follow your own advice and not do it either. Just because you're some kind of moderator or been here longer that someone doesn't give you poetic license to resort to name calling. Hello! This is my first time on this site, been browsing some posts and WOW, it sounds interesting!

I was sorry to hear I missed "tuneful Tuesdays" seeing it is Wednesday and all....maybe I'll be back around for next Tuesday!

Anyways, I have been a huge LOST fan since the DAY the show premiered! Back then, it obviously did not have the same fanfare as it does today...my, how the show has developed into such complexities! I personally liked the first season the very best, things seemed so much more simpler back then!

I hope I can learn a few things from this site and add something to it as well!

I think I will just try to feel out the "lay of the land" before I jump right in, that is more my style...

Anyways, until next time....hello!

Ebdim9th - Cooper appeared to have like, "Widmore Cash", and so I was thinking he could pay some of his doctors to say whatever he wanted...just sayin.'

That's what Chuck Widmore would do.

Wouldn't an experienced con man be able to take advantage of a mentaly unstable woman, into selling out her own son? A con man would be able to aquire all kinds of documents stating all kinds of credentiuals...How many passports did Ben have? ...just sayin.'

And finally, your honor, the Smoking Gun!! This is Lost...and they left things open ended enough that they could write anything they wanted into Locke's story and claim that this was intentional all along. "Remember when Emily told Locke he was immaculately conceived...See!! We knew Locke was going to be Jacob's son all along."

You have to watch these Lost DuDe's, E ...they are a slippery bunch!!

KoRo How, in a city of maybe dozens of PIs did Cooper manage to coerce Locke into seeing the one he'd coopted? The doctors in the hospital themselves determined that Locke and Cooper were related through the DNA in thier compatible kidneys. The PI found his own independent medical sources before that.

Mod,

First, not that it's any of your business, but no it's not my first day.

Secondly, as far as suggestions I have one for you, please mind your business and don't go throwing around demands when you don't know the situation and how it started. Helio was condescending and rude to me way before I was to him. Talking down to me as if I were stupid. So tit for tat and so on. So drop the whole group attack mentality and lay off.
I'm respectful when respected. And as far as "rude", no, I'm not rude. I'm just not going to sit here and be run down by people that weren't involved or have no clue how the situation came about in the first place. So please spare me the "when you're talking to one of us you're talking to us all" schtick.

Again, all this unnecessary drama over something so trivial and stupid.
It was between he and I, I said nothing to anyone else until they attacked me first when they decided to jump in without having any clue what was going on and label me the "bad guy."

So as I said, I am and will be respectful when respected, but when someone addresses me as if I were stupid or of inferior intellect, I'm surely gonna stand up for myself.

So unless this is some sort of dictatorship and I'm unaware of it, I will exercise my right to speak freely.

Ebdim9th -

"Anthony Cooper used Emily as part of a con to get Locke to donate his kidney to him, after his own kidney had failed. During the ploy, she told her son that he was very special, and that he had no father because he was "immaculately conceived" (a common misuse of the term). Emily would later reveal Cooper's betrayal, apologizing and telling Locke that she participated in the con for money."

"However, the disbelieving Locke hired an investigator to track her down, who returned with information about his living father, and a medical record of his mother's psychiatric problems.

Acting on the information, Locke visited his father, Anthony Cooper."

"The traumatized Locke was then visited by his mother, who confessed that their earlier meeting, and all the subsequent events, were arranged by his father, in order to con him into giving away his kidney willingly, a plan in which she took part for money."

KoRoBaRo ,herree we gooo... no, Locke hired the private eye. Cooper didnt know anything about it. He sent Emily to Locke, that's how he got Locke to come to him. He was related to Locke, realized he now needed a kidney, because as relatives they were more likely compatible with one another, and he took advantage of it. He paid Emily, not the P.I.

Emily confessed that to John at the Hospital.

When John confronted Cooper about it later, Cooper told him, "I needed a kidney. You needed a Daddy. We both got what we want."

Giving this whole situation a second look...Is it possible that Cooper being John's Dad was only part of the act...just sayin'...

Hi E-Flat - so right - Didja catch the part where I said that I totally agree with you? :) I was just posing a contrasting definition as in the dictionary - heck, I hadn't even gone to the Bible/Old/New Testaments. I know it's (the dictionary is)waaaaaaaaaaaay too narrow, of course; it was just the closest thing I could think of to apply SOME kinda standard accepted definition as a counterpoint - does that make sense?

Thanks - learning a ton, here, dude... :D

Yosoy There are different types of decree, even divine ones. In the Old Testament of christians and jews, in genesis, it says God repented that he ever made man and then unleashed the flood. Later it says he changed his mind about something else. So even for the strict bible literalist, predestination means different things at different times...

KoRoBaRo, I believe the writers intended for us to believe the findings of the P.I. Who showed DNA results to Locke that proved conclusively that Emily was his mother and Cooper his father. This investigator was never seen or heard from again. That makes me come to the conclusion that he was meant to be an objective third-party witness, and that was his only real purpose on the show. Just as it's likely we'll never see Aaron's biological father again either. Some of us are just hoping we'll even get to see Claire again...

Time for a six count - (What?)
I've been a gunslinger all my life, my main weapon of choice being a guitar, but whether one uses a gun or a guitar, they both use six strings or six bullets. Music is a powerful thing.

Other sixes-
If you go to a store you might buy a six pack. Later you might wish you had the same on your gut.
Six o'clock is "due south" on a clock face.
Precognition (telepathy) could be considered the sixth sense.
Rescue parties often contain six members; two pairs of threes or three pairs of twos.
I noticed my guitar module I practice through is called Line 6.
Jack has a five on his arm (+ himself equals six).
It could stand for the Oceanic Six.
Lost has displayed the concept of Six Degrees of Separation.
The original Bad Robot had three of them on his head (antenna array).
6...6...6....6....6....6.....6.....6.....6......
Six is everywhere!

Everything after that was based on lies told by liars and con men.

Cooper, Emily, Malkin, Brother Campbell, David, Lynn Karnoff, just to name a few...have all been caught Lieing to the "Losties" to manipulate and take advantage of them for various reasons.

My point is...if there truely is something special about John Locke, would it be so hard to believe that Anthony Cooper was not John Locke's real father? I think there might be a possibility. A slight one....

I keep remembering Emily talking about her Mystery Man...I guess she could have been talking about Cooper...but why in the world would he want to run away with her and raise the kid...not really his M.O.

Really really cool to consider!

Helio,
Tone down the condescention. You've talked down to me as if I were a moron from the very first post, which is why I had no problem lashing back at you. Can't take it? Then don't dish it.
And yeah Jacob told Ben he had a choice, but what I was getting at is that one of the main themes of the show all along has been free will and choice, which Jacob even eluded to which pertains to the OVERALL scheme of things. Got it now? Can ya wrap ya mind around it this time or do I need to talk slower?
Flat out, plain and simple, Charlie CHOSE to sacrifice himself, he wasn't forced to nor did he HAVE to. And sucker? Hardly. So you can take your delusional intellectual "superiority complex" and stick it.

You're choosing to ignore that fact that there are points in life where people can do other things but the options to do those other things aren't possible without the knowledge to do those things. Let me make this point obvious one more time... If I offered you Strawberry soda, which you accepted, and started yelling at you because you didn't choose the grape soda that was in the fridge (which wasn't an option) would you feel like you had a choice? Just because there's another option doesn't mean you have a choice, make sense?

KoRoBaRo Cooper is Locke's daddy.....

Predestination is like boarding a train with a ticket to a particular city. You might get there or a barge might hit the bridge, and though you survive, you have to be fished out of a swamp and finish your journey in an emergency vehicle headed for an entirely different destination. The ambulance driver had a plan too, so the hospital you made it to was predestined as well...

HIATUS PROJECT

Man from Tallahasee

- lookit that, Cooper pours Locke and himself some MacCutcheon!
- Locke's physical therapist - "I don't want to hear about what you can't do"...now why does that sound like a slight twist on a familiar phrase?? :)

Expose

- ooo, interesting - Ethan appears to Nikki and Paolo...
- ironical how they're the first to spot the Nigerian plane (this ended up in the commentary, too - but I caught it before, without their help, HA! :D )
- Paolo overhears some MAJOR plotting...
- OMG, does Vincent know what's going on, uncovering them? (This ended up being borne out in the commentary - Vincent WAS trying to tell all the humans that they were actually alive)
- ok this is one I'm on the fence about and reconsidering - not because I'm biased (I adore Des), but because I think I'm overthinking - I'll put it out there for you guys, tho': I thought it was veeeery interesting when Desmond let Hurley know that Sawyer had argued with Nikki that morning. Was he trying to implicate him and why? Something about the way HIC played it - a little, just slightly wary.

Left Behind

- HA - who's watching whose back, you two? (To Kate and Juliet - LOL)
- Whoa, was Smokey TAKING PICTURES??? (Those flashes as it approached the two ladies)

One of Us

- if the problem's at conception, maybe it's not the mothers...the baby a "foreign invader"?
- I don't trust AT ALL that the charts Ben showed Juliet were Rachel's.
- WOW...omg, Juliet stands down Sawyer and Sayid and WINS - now that's freakin' POWER, baby...
- 2nd of even more times that we've revisited the Barracks at the moment of the crash...this is BIG.
- Aaron holding Charlie's hand, Charlie holding Claire's...SO...SWEET.

*****************************

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dear OMF, have a wonderful one!

Re: Charlie and choice, I still hold to what I said before if y'all caught it (this is really close to what Spero says - that if you act on one path of thought and do not see or even consider - AT ALL - any alternatives, that's not choice, that's instinct. OUR seeing choice does not make it exist to Charlie. I totally agree that CHOICE (we're talking WITHIN CHARLIE) was what happened on the boat when he would not let Desmond take his place.

'Lage love to every...single...one of you all everybody - hugs back to Spero-bee, KR, Kailin, E-Flat, OMF, Miz Pantses, Hallie...I'd better shaddup before I forget to mention someone or a lotta someones - LOL! See ya in anothah post, yeah? :D

More Questions:

Did Richard and Eloise have a Child together? I thought it might be Desmond. Then Daniel and Desmond would be Brothers.....but.....wouldn't that make Penny Desmonds Half-Sister? No, because Widmore had that child with a woman off-Island.

Who is Penny's Mom? No idea...HHHMMM...

Maybe that's why Widmore wants to get the Island back soo bad...To take it away from Ben and Richard...he was willing to kill every man woman and child to take back what belonged to Him.

If Desmond's Mom and Dad are Eloise and Richard...that would explain why he rubs Desmond's face in it every chance he gets, without remorse. Desmond's presence is a Constant insult to Widmore.

What if Unlocke hates Jacob because they both had a child with Ilanna? Jacob had a son = Locke and Unlocke had a son = Ben.

Only Ben and Locke(well, his body anyway), were able to return to the Island when it was understood that it was Forbidden to return after turning the Frozen Donkey Wheel.

Maybe the loophole was you had to be a direct descendent of Jacob or Unlocke inorder for the Rules not to apply to you?

Yikes, I don't have any idea where this is all going...but MaN! ...What a Ride!!

I am scratching my head trying to answer some of the remaining questions about who is related to whom.

Who was John Locke's Father? I thought it might be Richard.

Is Ilanna or Bram related to any of the characters? What is Ilanna's connection to Jacob? My guess was that they were a couple.

When Frank was being Shanghaied by the newest Island Residents, they were puzzling over whether he could be a candidate. A candidate for what?? Is he a relation of the Island Gods or part of the Royal Bloodline? That was my assumption.

These are some of the questions I am thinking about...also how it all connects to the "Losties."

Jdam speaking of six steps to Stephen King, or is that guy who's posting or isnt he, Jeffrey Boam worked on the screenplay to the Dead Zone (1983) ... he and Carlton Cuse regularly partnered together especially on Brisco County jr. So, even before there were other connections between King and LOST there was that one....

Oh yeah, Drew Barrymore got a return engagement after Firestarter. She was in Cat's Eye as well...

KoRoBaRo - Oh, no way! But your guess made me smile from ear to ear. I could never take credit for even being on King's level. King had great inspirations himself who sadly never saw the glory days of their writings. The style doesn't hold well with some people. The 'piecing together' of information bit by bit throughout the series is hard to follow. Lost is a true storytelling art form; a painter's brush rolling along the canvas; a musician playing wildly on the fringe of sonic brilliance. The average story out there is told in a sort of "Basketweaving 101" comparison. The height of a Melrose Place plot twist is who's f------g who. (Sorry about the brief language). The art of storytelling that Lost uses has been used by others, but it is rare. Puzzlepieces of ideas, clues, events, characters, all spanning throughout time and molding together to create a tapestry of collective consciousness. Fans of great TV/movie storytelling have been waiting a long time for what lies in the middle of the tapestry.

The wait is almost over.

I will say this on King's behalf though; I think he would agree. "It's good to be the King."

Jdam says:

Ebdim9th - The first thing that 'pusher' dad learned to do in Firestarter was telepathic communication. He then moved on to Jedi mind power, and finally manipulating objects with his mind. The telepathic communication part would answer the whispers, Locke's daydream of Boone, as well as other visions and waking dreams seen on the island.

"One mind to control them all." Just ask Charlie; he's already seen what a bloody evil ring can do. The irony is most people still only saw the ring as the source of power. It took a greater power to make and control it. Even though the ring (a direct middle-Earth bound link to pure evil) was destroyed, the true force behind the ring still waits. And dreams. Alone in the dark. Maybe on an island. Who knows?

I just can't get over something that has always bothered me about Kate. Whatever she does or why she does things have always confused me.

But then I thought, what would this show have been like if Kate was never a survivor of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815?

She has always effected Jack in such a way that always seemed to encourage and support Jack so he could stand up and not be afraid to lead.

When we first see Jack interacting with the "Losties" on the beach...he was a jackass. He was barking orders and belittling
Boone's attempts at helping during the crisis.

If Kate was never on that Island, I believe Sayid and the rest would have tied Jake to that post and pushed bamboo under Jack's fingernails!

If Kate was never there...Jack never would have been a Leader...maybe Dr. Jack Shephard would be more like a Dr. Leslie Arzt.

If there was no pretty girl to look heroic for, he very well have felt like dieing alone. Dad's dead/Mom blames Jack/Wife divorced him and moved on/We all know how far he will fall if it wasn't for the Island with booze and pills/He's not really attached to anyone beside Kate.

If not for Kate, Jack might have abandoned everyone else by now. The only real reason he called the frieghter was because he promised Kate he would get her home...everyone else just benefited for this act of heroism.

How is it that when I miss a couple of days here, things get exciting??

Heliofez & Revolution- We humans get very touchy when the free will discussion pops up. We don't like to think we are being controlled, rather that we are in control, so these are tricky waters. I tend to side with Helio, though. If Charlie was so focused on his fate being his death at that moment, he wouldn't even consider coming outside the door; he was resigned to die. However, the choice he did make was in the boat. He did choose to make the sacrifice for his friends. At that point, though I think he was determined that he must die; ergo he did not consider any options that didn't include his death. Here's the real tricky issue, the Matrix paradox, if you will: if he hadn't been convinced that he had to die, or that he was going to die, would he have then been able to see the option of being on the safer side of the door? And if that is the case, wouldn't that suggest that that at that moment, Charlie didn't have a choice? Another level is the whole "higher power" situation. IF God,or fate, or what have you has predetermined the flow of the world, do we ever have an actual free will choice? Also, the question is not what is the reality, the question is, how does it work in the Lost universe? ;)

Revolution_IsMy_Name - CHOICE and FREE WILL! I think your point is correct. If everything is Destined, (Destiny Found!), then what would be the point of the entire show?

It would be like playing chess against a computer...it could anticipate what your outcome will be, based on your 1st move, and therefor manipulate the outcome in order to defeat you.

As far as the Charlie discussion, he could have definately left the room and saved himself. As far as Mikhail restarting the signal jammer, I think Charlie could have rested easy about that concern. That grenade turned Mikhail into Chum..."Pop goes the weasel!"

As far as how you make your points...lets just say, unless your name is Damon Lindelof or Carlton Cuse...you are just guessing like the rest of us. Anyone bold enough to state "I Know What's Happening on Lost!!" ...is just talking Smack.

As far as your character goes, you explained that your not a buttkisser and your a straight shooter...you call em' as you see em.' KiCKaSS!! I like that about you. I'm glad you are on here talking about my favorite show of all time. You have some great theories. I just wish you were alittle more open minded of "Other" possiblities.

I think you are on to something...but not quite there yet...so lets keep talking and figure this out!! We only have 3 months to go before the Last Season!!

Whoa whoa whoa, let's pump the brakes and back that truck up a second shall we?

No, I can engage in rational , logical debate and conversation so let's not assume shall we?

And no, I don't feel the world revolves around me or my train of thought. So stop grasping for straws to make yourself look like you've attained some moral high ground.

And cowardly? Running? Hiding? Hardly, come out to VA and I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong.

Now, as far as the Charlie situation YES he had a CHOICE. He could have simply walked outside of the door and shut it when he saw Mikhail and could have left with Desmond. However he CHOSE not to, he CHOSE to sacrifice himself in order to guarantee Desmond's safety and sacrificing himself for the good of everyone on the island, especially Aaron and Claire. Also he CHOSE to stay inside to make sure Mikhail didn't come in and restart the signal jammer.Get it now? Again, one of the main plot points of the show, even said by Jacob himself. CHOICE and FREE WILL. You keep going on and on as if he were forced to do it or had no choice in the matter.

Heliofez found an extra fifty cents in the sock of his left foot and chose to place it in the juke box for one last song... J03 is selected and "Give in to me" by Michael Jackson starts playing!

My lord, this song should be the intro to LOST.

OMF: I'm feeling a little melancholy this morning so I'm throwing fifty cents in the jukebox and playing "Home" by Michael Buble.

Yosoy and Yukailin- Thanks for the support! It's so sad when people can't understand, or handle, other peoples views or thoughts. These are the type of people which debating or having a rational conversation with won't possible, am I right? Instead of stretching ones mind to view the others side of the spectrum they run, hide and throw out low blows for their own insecurities. Rather then continue to debate the context at hand they take the cowardly way out and insult another person's intelligence to the point where it's pointless to continue a good conversation. I hate it. It was a great topic and it was ruined because one person thought this whole world revolves around his or her train of thought.

Rev: Please prove me wrong

To add to the comment about cowards: I found it amusing that the questions I asked weren't addressed... Be a person of integrity and try to understand another person's point of view. I'm not the enemy, I was simply stating how I would feel if I were in the same situation Charlie was in. So with all of this B.S. aside I'd like you to answer the questions... The main one being, is it really a choice if the individual doesn't recognize the options? Obviously every person can do something other then what was done but again I ask you, is it a choice or a simple act of instinct?

The old man wanders into the Work & Lurk Cafe pushing a cart loaded with a selection of cereals and milk, various doughnuts, crullers, coffee, tea, and juice... drops a nickel in the jukebox and selects A15, 'I Fought The Law' by Sonny Curtis and The Crickets, for Kate... pours himself a Tuneful-Tuesday-sized coffee and takes his usual seat in the corner...

It's Tuneful Tuesday!!

Feel free to feed the jukebox.

Last I checked, it was a free country. If you took offense, so be it, that's on you, not me. It was an interaction between myself and someone else, that had nothing to do with either person that commented. So no offense, but by all means kindly don't interject yourselves in matters that have nothing to do with you. Thanks.

And I am respectful, when respected, but I'm not gonna censor or shadow myself just because you dictate that I have to be a certain way.

I'm blunt, straightforward, and not a butt kisser. And I mean this as courteously as possible, but if you don't like what I post, don't read it, pass it by, and read another post that you find more conducive.

Yukailin also not to mention ya'll look nothing alike. (I've seen some of the Lost Weekend pics of the past)

Ebdim9th, man, I want some of your drugs. ;-)

No, HippieJewel and me are not that same person, she's from the Second City, and I'm a So Cal girl, totally different. But I've not been posting all that much the past month or two, what with the RedPandaResources site alive and well. So, it's been her posts that have pulled me out of the Lurker Tree.

And now yours, it seems. ;-)

KoRoBaRo - my carafes can be dropped (or drop-kicked) with out breaking. And I brew coffee by the vat, so I can re-fill it.

a Disheveled looking KoRoBaRo shoves open the door to the Work & Lurk Cafe, pushing way too hard, slamming the door with a loud bang.

Standing in the doorway with some obvious awkward difficulty with head hanging bent to one side and with only 1 eye open, he scans the room, searching desperately for something.

Suddenly, he spies the object of his desire! He makes a somewhat kind of half grunt half whimper sound of joy and begins staggering sloppily toward OMF's cart, with no regard for the tables he bumps into.

With his 1 eye still locked onto his prize, he lumbers up to OMF's cart, back hands the lid off the Carafe and grabs it with both hands. Standing up straight, he raises his prize above his head, tilts it back till there is coffee pouring into his mouth. As he gulps down the brew, it spills all over his face, his clothes, all over the floor but he continues until the pot is drained. Releasing the Carafe it crashes into the ground.

KoRoBaRo sways on his feet in some sort of euphoric state for just a moment before his eyes roll into the back of his head, and like a tree being felled by a lumberjack, his body slowly tips backward, and gravity does the rest. With a hard THWaK sound, KoRoBaRo's body splats into the coffe puddle.

Shaking and twitching and whimper, he just barely raises his head and exclaims, "I Survived the Weekend!!"

His head bonks back and he is out cold...but he made it back here to be with you guys...

yukailin, so are you trying to say that you and hippiejewel are somehow the same person?? :P

I ask you, is it wrong for me to look at Damon and Carlton, and sometimes see them subtly transform into David Cross and Bob Odenkirk?

Or that Damon might suddenly appear in a wig and john deere cap with his shirt off, and get chased down the street, by, in another shot back over his shoulder, two cops who suspiciously also appear to be Damon and Carlton?

Or that Carlton will suddenly appear as a British filmmaker and lead the drunken, loveable cop-tv lout to superstardom?
Is this so wrong?

Jdam, I think like with the BeamBreakers in the Dark Tower Series, I think that for some reason Ben was originally trying to collect a whole 'school' of wild-talents but, like with the magnetic anomaly, some kind of accident caused things to go the opposite way, no live child-births on the island. In Firestarter Charlie was just one case. With all the people they injected, "The Shop" were hoping for a whole bunch of Charlies. In fact Charlie's dad was a 'pusher', and helped her escape by using 'Jedi mind tricks'. Maybe just like Ben, and maybe just like Jacob. Maybe it started out with noble intentions, Jacob the first of the 'toxic-spillers' here, we're about to find out that if he's still a saint, he's a severely flawed one, but again, these 'anomalies' started to happen. The beast was either conjured or awakened, and again, another abition misfiring, and the security system was yet another loose cannon in the Equation.

OMF yes, we love Mondays, and those cute, cuddly sunshiny hardworking critters that are the first day of every week just love us right back. I believe that with all my heart.
