Yes -- one that will show the ostensible existing ending to have been a false or at least highly misleading one. I see too many clues that
Lost was meant to be a solvable mystery related to several stories collected in
Tales of Terror and Mystery by A.C. Doyle, especially "The Lost Special" and its historic basis and adaptations. The fuselage's still being there might hint at that.
I don't think it would take an entire season of TV to give the true denouement. I don't think it would take any of the original cast, either. Just some guy, preferably shrouded in darkness, maybe with an altered voice, possibly doing voice over of clips from the original.
The title "The Lost Special" is in the public domain, and theoretically anybody could produce this coda if clips were not used. What would be fun would be to shoot some new footage with actors who clearly resembled -- but just as clearly, did not resemble too closely -- the original cast, representing the doubles (as in "The Black Doctor") of the original characters before they had plastic surgery to perfect them. Without needing any of the rights to
Lost, such a work could still be recognizable as a continuation in the same way as, for instance,
The Prisoner is a sequel to
Danger Man/Secret Agent.
