Quote:
Walt
"Home? I hadn't thought about it. I'm so tired of moving; I just want to settle down and be normal, play with friends, and Vincent. And you. This is all right for once in a while, but one more day is plenty."
Michael was heartened to hear those words.

"Sounds good, Walt. You haven't exactly been what I would call normal these past few days."

Quote:
Walt
"I could get out of this if these handcuffs were those toys with a release you don't need a key for."
"Tell you what, I'll get one of those for you when we get home."

Quote:
Walt
"But ... I admit it, I can't get out. Can you please get me out of here now?"
"Okay, since you asked nicely."

Michael went to untie the rope from the tree, but Walt's swinging had caused the knots to tighten so that Michael coulnd't get them loose. He struggled for fifteen minutes, and had to give up.

"Sorry Walt, these knots got too tight. We need something sharp to cut the rope. I could go back to the village, but I don't want to leave you here alone."

Eko

Eko reached Sayid and Shannon.

"What's going on? It's lonely at the freighter; no one wants to play with me."

Eko swung his sword wildly.

Walt craned his neck to see Michael untie the knots, but Michael was having problems. Walt hung patiently another quarter hour, until

It may have been a mistake to let myself get into this.

"No, don't leave me alone. Someone will come, or we'll think of something. I'll be okay as long as I bend up once in a while to keep all the blood from my head."

Walt demonstrated another vertical situp.

"Let's keep on talking, but can you get me something to eat?"

Walt rambled to pass the time.

"Mom and Brian never did much with me; they were always busy with their lawyer jobs. And they moved so much I don't have any real good friends. So what was your life like after Mom left you?"

Sayid

"Careful with that. Can you show us where the freighter is? A lot of us would like to leave now, and then I'm sure we can find someone to play with you."

Michael

Quote:
Walt
"Let's keep on talking, but can you get me something to eat?"
"Of course."

There was some fruit left over from Kate, and Michael peeled a banana and fed it to Walt.

Quote:
Walt
"Mom and Brian never did much with me; they were always busy with their lawyer jobs. And they moved so much I don't have any real good friends. So what was your life like after Mom left you?"
Michael wasn't expecting a question like that, and had to think a moment.

"It's been pretty awful. Just working construction jobs to get by. Nothing interesting."

Eko

Quote:
Sayid
"Careful with that. Can you show us where the freighter is? A lot of us would like to leave now, and then I'm sure we can find someone to play with you."
"Fine, but find someone who will play with me first."

Juilet

Quote:
Sawyer
"Wh - family? No, not really. I'm an only child, and my parents have passed on ..."
...
"B-but it looks like we could be together for the holidays."
Juliet blinked.

Sawyer actually said that?

Then Juliet realized she had enough.

"All right, Miles, Desmond, come out and tell us the heading to the freighter, now! Anyone else who's coming, over here. We're leaving together in one minute!"

Desmond

Desmond was terrified of Juilet.

"T..t..two hundred fifty-three degrees. And I think I'll stay here ... with Miles?"

Desmond looked hopefully at the latest possibility.

Sawyer

"Gosh Juliet, you're so ... uh ... charming when you take charge."

Jin

Jin was startled by the tone of Juilet's voice.

["What did she say, Sun?"]

Michael

"Oh, sorry."

Walt continued to hang there when he heard something scratching above him. He bent up, and saw Vincent scratching the rope from the tree branch.

"Vincent! I forgot you were up there! Keep clawing the rope. Dad, please get ready to catch me."

After several minutes, the rope broke, and Walt was free.

"Thanks Vincent! But .... why didn't you think of that an hour ago?"

Vincent

Vincent smiled, and then purred.

I wanted to have some fun.

Walt

"Okay, where were we going? The beach? Which way is it, I got disoriented up there."

Sun

Juliet had ordered everyone to get going.

Quote:
Jin
["What did she say, Sun?"]
["She said we're going to the beach. They know where the freighter is now."]

Sun joined the large group heading to the beach.

Sayid

Quote:
Eko
"Fine, but find someone who will play with me first."
Sayid sighed. He stayed protectively close to Shannon, wary of Eko's sword.

"I'm sure they'll be coming here in a few minutes."

Michael

Quote:
Walt
"Okay, where were we going? The beach? Which way is it, I got disoriented up there."
"I can't imagine how you got disoriented. But Kate came from that way ... "

There was a clanking sound in the distance.

"Wait, isn't that the noise that got Sun .... "

It got closer.

"Run Walt!"

The cloud of white smoke enveloped Michael, blinding him. He felt his pants rip off as he was hurtled somewhere. He crashed through tree branches and felt himself getting tangled up in vines. Guilt over his behavior, especially toward Walt, swept over him.

I've been too mean. Should have seen this coming.

When the smoke lifted, Michael found himself gagged and bound hand and foot by vines. He struggled, but couldn't get loose.

"WALLLT?"

Juilet

"So Kate, are you coming?"

Kate

Kate realized that she didn't care for Jack as he was, but was attracted by Jack's brain, which was inside National Geographic.

"I'll think I'll stay for now, thank you. Maybe you can send a plane or chopper big enough for all of us."

Kate went toward the house where she thought Klugh and the bull were.

Jack didn't want to leave Kate, so he followed her, but fell behind when he tripped on his shadow.

Sawyer

Sawyer departed for the beach with Juilet, Jin, Sun, and Hurley.

Re: Lost Gone Wrong:: Resurrected :: Volume 3!

||OOC: Roger, what happened is that nearly everyone left, and mnemo and I were going to write a few posts to wrap this up. Several people were going to get on the freighter and leave. Do to your extended absence your characters got god-moded. As for them, Frank is tied up on the beach, being guarded by Shannon and Sayid, who are in love. Juliet and Sawyer are in love, and heading to the freighter now. Desmond and Miles are at the village, with Desmond looking at Miles as a possible companion having been rejected by everyone else. We're having Hurley in the group going to the freighter to be rescued.

Michael and Walt got some quality time together, with most of that Michael teasing Walt while hanging upside in a rope trap trying to prove he was tough enough to act as a pirate in a battle on the freighter. The island affected Walt enough so that he is noticeably more muscular now. Eko got bored on the freighter and rowed ashore looking for someone to play with, and provide the heading to get to the freighter, but that isn't so necessary now as Juliet got Desmond to give her the heading. Jin and Sun are pretty much reconciled and heading for the freighter. Kate is attracted to Jack's brain in National Geographic, while Klugh remains very protective of the bull. I lost track of Charlotte; I'd guess she's still in the village, along with people like Boone, and who knows where Ana, Claire and Goodwin wound up.

If you think we can meaningfully continue this with three posters please let us know. I guess we could edit some things. But leaving again in two days will make that even more difficult. ||

Walt

Quote:
Michael
"Run Walt!"
Walt hesitated, and then ran, getting separated from Michael. The white smoke overtook and blinded Walt as well, and carried him off, but it was a liberating experience. He felt himself being freed of everything -- handcuffs, boxers, and the lettering on his chest and abdomen. He landed in a large tangle of vines, suspended from the sandy ground.

"I'm free!"

But the announcement was premature. His arms and legs were caught in loops of vines, which seemed to tighten as he struggled to free himself.

"Dad, are you there? I'm stuck in the vines."

Quote:
Michael
"WALLLT?"
Michael's voice was muffled, and it sounded like he couldn't come to Walt's aid. Walt struggled for an hour and gave up.

Vincent

Vincent had avoided the white smoke, and sauntered after his masters. Seeing Walt entangled in vines, Vincent climbed the tree the vines were hanging from and clawed through enough of them to snap and release Walt. Vincent then ambled over to Michael, about fifty meters away, and clawed through his ropes, but tearing Michael's boxers in the process.

Walt dropped to the sand, going in calf-deep. Laughing at how it felt, he tried to pull one leg out, but mainly the other leg went in a little deeper. Puzzled, he tried the other leg, with the same result,

This is ridiculous; I'm extra strong now.

Walt made a grand effort, but only succeeded in driving his legs into the sand up to his thighs. Then he realized,

"Hey, I'm sinking! This is quicksand!"

Walt panicked, thrashing around until he was in up to his waist.

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to keep calm.

Walt looked around, but the vines were all out of reach.

"Dad? Vincent? I could use a hand here."

Sayid

While waiting for the others to arrive at the beach, Sayid and Shannon heard the smoke monster in the woods, not too far away. They huddled until it was over, when they were surprised to see a set of handcuffs, open, fly out of the jungle and land near their feet.

"Don't these look like the ones Walt had on the past few days?"

Shannon

Shannon looked at the cuffs.

"Definitely. That should be good news. Walt said he thought the smoke monster would release him when the time was right. He must be in good spirits now.

Klugh

Klugh heard Kate approaching her house.

"Stay away! NG is mine!"

Sun

Sun continued with the group until they got to the beach. She heard the smoke monster, and jumped into Jin's arms, but the monster didn't get too close to that group on this occasion.

(((Oh, ok, if you guys are godmodding my characters that's fine, i just didn't want them to get left behind. Wrapping it up is a good idea, I'm not coming back until the 22nd, and by then Lost will have begun again, and hopefully everyone will be coming back)))

Re: Lost Gone Wrong:: Resurrected :: Volume 3!

||OOC: roger_dodger, since you're back, you should say what happens to your characters in the end. I felt Hurley should be in the group getting rescued, but really don't know what to do with the rest of your characters. ||

Michael

Michael lay immobilized for about two hours when he felt something scratching at the vines binding him, and at his shorts, tearing them to shreds.

Wha -- Vincent?

Once the vines tying his hands were cut, Michael untied the others, but had a wardrobe problem. He tied one of the vines around his hips, and then thrust many long blades of grass around the vines, making a fashionable skirt.

Desmond would love to see me like this.

Quote:
Walt
"Dad? Vincent? I could use a hand here."
Michael followed Walt's voice, and gaped at what he saw. Not that Walt was buried to his waist, stuck in quicksand, but that the letters and handcuffs were gone.

"Way to go Walt. Uh, I had a wardrobe malfunction back there, so I made this. So how you're doing?"

"You have a problem, too?"

Michael couldn't resist teasing Walt.

"You're looking good. Those muscles of yours really stand out now. We should take another picture."

After about another half an hour, Michael relented and tossed Walt the end of one vine, and tied the other around a tree.

"You look so strong, you can pull yourself out. I'll give you some privacy."

Michael went some ways toward the beach.

Kate

Quote:
Klugh
"Stay away! NG is mine!"
Kate entered the house anyway.

"Why don't we ask NG's opinion?"

Juliet

The group got to the beach. Juliet was wary of Eko holding a sword.

Did Kate keep her gun?

There were three small boats, those taken by Desmond, Miles, and Eko.

"All right, let's get moving. Sawyer and I will go in one boat, and Sayid and Shannon in one, and Hurley, Jin, and Sun in one. Oh, and Eko ... with Sayid and Shannon?"

Jin

Anything to get off the island was fine with Jin. He figured out what Juliet was saying by her gestures.

Sawyer

"What happened to Michael and Walt? Aren't they supposed to be here? We could leave one boat for them ..."

Eko

"Mikey and Walty are coming? I'll wait for them in the last boat."

Eko waved his sword, and no one wanted to argue.

Sawyer

"Juliet, we can share the boat with Sayid and Shannon. It won't be for long."

Re: Lost Gone Wrong:: Resurrected :: Volume 3!

Walt

Walt rubbed his aching shoulders, and then laughed when Michael finally approached in a grass skirt.

Quote:
Michael
"Way to go Walt. Uh, I had a wardrobe malfunction back there, so I made this. So how you're doing?"
"A lot better. The smoke cloud got everything off me, and I ... uh ... need ..."

Quote:
Michael
"You have a problem, too?"
"Yeah."

Quote:
Michael
"You're looking good. Those muscles of yours really stand out now. We should take another picture."
"Uh thanks. But they're no good in this stuff. And we should take a picture of you. So, can you toss me a vine?"

But Michael teased Walt some more, forcing Walt to stand in the quicksand another half hour. They talked during that time, until Michael finally relented and threw Walt a vine.

Quote:
Michael
"You look so strong, you can pull yourself out. I'll give you some privacy."
"You better believe it!"

Walt flexed in an exaggerated manner, and then pulled himself out fairly easily when Michael went away. Walt washed himself off in a nearby stream, and fashioned his own grass skirt. He caught up with Michael and went to the beach.

National Geographic

Quote:
Kate
"Why don't we ask NG's opinion?"
"Can't we all just get along? I have enemies and may need both of you to protect me."

Sayid

Juliet gave a bunch of orders, and Sayid and Shannon wound up in a rowboat with Juliet and Shannon. Sayid grabbed the oars, and rowed to the freighter based on the compass heading and Sawyer's direction.

Shannon

Shannon gazed at Sayid the whole time.

Kind of hope there's no spare shirt for him on that freighter.

Sun

Sun wound up in a boat with Jin and Hurley.

["Why don't you row, dear?"]

They went to the freighter. In the distance, they saw Michael and Walt arrive at the beach, where Eko was waiting for them.
