GRAND TOTAL: I rate this episode an 8.
I love the flashback potential of the Dharma folks past 3 years.
Good News: Your post was hilarious (and right on the mark with the 8 score). Hip-Hip-Hooray!
I gave this episode a 9, I really enjoyed it and it's about time we saw another Sawyer-centric episode. I really love how far his character has come since the first season. The writers and Josh have done a terrific job developing the character and I think him and Juliet make a good couple.
Compared to the build up of questions and mysteries, the answers and fitting together of puzzle pieces has been (generally) a real disappointment. The tight script writing seems to have fallen into hands less passionate about the script. I feel the wrapping up of the show, long-term, is really a let down in quality of plot ideas.
To let something truly exceptional turn into the usual/lukewarm is a real loss to this art form - and to this show's viewers.
I loved LaFleur, especially the interaction between James and Richard. We haven't had a Sawyer centric episode for a long time, but it was worth the wait. It's certainly got people posting. There are already more posts for this episode than there were for any of the other Season 5 ones.
