It's not confidential information, so I'll blurt it out here and now:

"As of January 22nd, 2010, I became an elderly (lol) 40 year old!" Yep...yesireee, Bob!

Hah! When I first posted that last sentence, I put "20 year old"! Keep dreaming, Junie!

I changed your age Junie.. And as I'm sure you already know, you're as young or old as you feel, so it's no wonder your hands are typing "20 years old"!..

What the heck, ame, put up the number as of today & with thanks to those who have posted wishes ........ 77, double digits, Red Grange's uniform # [the Galloping Ghost].

We had a Publix Bakery NY Style cheese cake to celebrate, with two candles, one for the years + one for good luck.

Son-in-law asked, after I blew out the candles, "did you make your wish?"

"Yep," I replied. "78."

Feels nice 'n roomy in here.

Classic answer nanwynnfan - 78. I love it. Well that's triple 7's! 7th thread on your 77th birthday. May this year be a lucky one indeed my friend. Mmmmm NY style cheesecake?? My tummy's growling and that would take care of it nicely.

No problem, my sincere pleasure.. Don't worry, the smell will go away shortly. To be replaced by Ben Gay, Aspercreme, etc..

Yeah, always "from a distance" that Marlin was. Makes me think this was the precursor to "gnome".
(ADDED: ha, the language filter replaced "gnome" for "Jack arse" (the TV show with the guys who go out of their way to hurt themselves)

Silly girls, all that jumping in those tube tops on the trampolines...you must have smacked each other in the head with something Maybe a couple of somethings

This is a tin foil hat http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/

This is the official elders hat http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Alzheim...4202266&page=1

Since you confused the two you must wear the Alzheimer hat for a while!

I'm perfecting yeast rolls right now. The batch this evening was much better than last time. They were soft on top, not hard. I'm getting the feeling for how the dough is supposed to feel. Can't get it right unless you keep practicing. (I just know I'm going to hear a lot of bawdy comments about that one)

I LOVE seaquelost's corn casserole. I only make it at Thanksgiving because it so rich, but it's soooo good!

Did you see that Olympic athlete who wore the tiara? She was so cute! Always wear your tiara sunshine. You never know when you'll meet a prince.

My little guy is running a fever again tonight. He had one last week, has been suffering the symptoms of a cold. Tonight, fever again, big time sore throat....yuk! I peeked in his mouth and in the very back are some white spots...pus pockets. I started singing the hot pockets jingle with the words pus pockets instead. Made him laugh. Pretty sure it's strep. I either have to take him to the doc tomorrow and get a scrip, or start giving him some penicillin. I guess I wait till morning. His doc is more than an hour away, takes the whole day to get in and see her... I sure wish Bickle made house calls.

In a serious case of "LATE TO THE PARTY" - I humbly ask to join the Council of Elders, as long as y'all don't mind a little goldenrod filling your pages. I am currently holding tight to 39, with the big 4-0 occurring this July.

Being the last season of LOST, I figured I needed to be a bit more social here at The Fuse. So, what do y'all do around here for fun?
