I wish it were easier to define the LOST personalities... It's like they keep walking through the mirror... back and forth, back and forth...
My father defined my and my older sister's personality early on. When we were toddlers, way back when, and we did something wrong, he would ask us if we wanted spanked now or later. My older sister would always say, "Now", I would always say, "Later". My sister, fearless and facing the world, me, afraid and cowering... (So sad.) But, my father knew that I had already "learned" my lesson and in the cowering, didn't have the personality for a spanking, or the need for one... he would conveniently "forget" my spanking, and I would go without! Is that black and white?

Will knowledge of both extremes allow one of the Lostaways to demonstrate the choice? I think some of them may be getting close (Jin's choice to remain with Sun to the end?) Does it hinge on a stronger awareness of the connection across the realities?
I am not convinced that Jin is now dead. I think I saw hands surface at the end of that scene. Wasn’t there at least one air tank left? Jin is a candidate, Sun is not. Is the desire to know his daughter great enough for him to accept that he cannot save Sun? Can he let himself parish knowing that this would leave his daughter with no parents, to be raised by another? Better to have one parent than none at all … to at least have one that can tell them about the one parent lost.
...err... Cap'n Morgan's Spiced Rum & a touch of Coke, shaken not stirred, for me. And can we get some chips and salsa to go with that please? For those with the wine glasses... slices of smoked gouda on stone wheat crackers.
