The Otheriest kind of other, if it means smart and smooth and mysterious and just a wee bit sneaky...
Yes! Yes! That's what it does mean.
Leyosura,
I've signed you under the # 6.
Ditto: she's a woman! She's the first female character on this show I ever liked .
Natalie86,
welcome, you're the member of The Juliet's Book Club # 7.

What do people like about her? Do people think she is more on the good or evil side?
I'm not sure if one could attribute Juliet either to good or evil; it's not that simple. I, for one, consider that she's definitely smart and dangerous; she's got stone strong self-control and never loose her temper. Is this bad or good? I don't know, but this is undoubtedly interesting.
I like about Juliet that she's an independent female character. She's mature, educated and skillful .

While I agree that she is the strongest female character on the show, we actually saw her losing temper in the OR. Or was that an act put on just to get Jack's confidence? I can't believe that even she can be capable of that... Until further proof that is

I wouldn't trust her at all - we don't know what she's capable of.

Well, at least she didn't cry or go either mad or panic. And she'd cut off Ben's "Are you crazy?" comment with no hesitating.
Or are you talking about the "I'm not used to the death" scene, Lea_Lost? I took that Juliet's not used to see the death of her patients while doing surgery, not the death in generally. IMHO.
And I, too, think Juliet didn't perform some kind of acting there.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking about. Her teary appology to Jack... and the fact that he brought in Jack to the OR against Ben's opinion and wishes. While I agree that she has a different agenda and probably tries some kind of an insurrection against Ben, in ordinary circumstances she listens to him, doesn't dare going against him in the open. But she was desperate, and her maybe even vulnerable in there. Just MO though.
Chris Procter,
you're absolutely correct, you've been added to the list as member of The Juliet's Book Club number 2.
Cheers to the like-minder!
Hi Ana-Ana,
As you can see I have got my name chaged to Dark Angel which is what I am known as on all the other forums so you'll need to change the list - sorry
Glad to see so many Juliet fans here
OK,
So what do I like about Juliet, well she's strong and capable and intelligence whilst at the same time being very personable. We saw right from the beginning that she is vunerable and that makes her very human but at the same time she has the strength to overcome her vunerabilities.
Any of you that have heard me on The Lost Community Podcast's will know my pro-other stance and that I have been a long time Other fan. I'm not a great believer of absolute good or evil and if anything Lost demonstates this well. However I think that Juliet has good intentions and if anyone is bad it's our Losties - they're a bunch of murders, conmen, junkies, cheats etc etc!
I'd certainly follow Juliet, Ok I know that I'm proabaly completely wrong andshe's evil as sin and that I'd probably end up dead but I'm a trusting kind of guy

Don't be sorry, I've made the same thing, once. Now I've got a chance to... um... return the service? Good for me. I believe in Karma.

Here I was thinking: we don't even know if Ben is a real leader there, so, what's the point to struggle him in that case?
I think the insurrection or whatever was set up to try whether Jack is capable to kill his patient or not.
As for being vulnerable - isn't that usual to any human to be vulnerable from time to time? That's absolutely adequate for me.

I still can't bring myself to trust her.
Funny thing is, I don't believe Juliet when she acts as though she's going to help losties, and that's why I think she's trustworthy. People don't accept traitors; even those people who took a gain out of betrayal don't like them.
I think she feels for Jack... something, but she doesn't know him enough to care about him and his friends. She's got comrades, may be some friends, of her own after all. She's hardcore Other, I believe.

Oh, I adore you for this. That's great when people follow someone with their eyes open.
