That's how I saw it too. I actually liked that moment between Kate and Juliet. Juliet had made a decision about what should be done, and Kate agreed and put the plan into motion. It put a quick end to the Jack/ Sawyer disagreement.

I am so excited for next week!

I don't think the "freckel's" comment was a big deal to Sawyer and I don't think he meant anything by it anymore than he does when he calls everyone else nicknames. However I do think it hurt Juliet. She didn't hear him call Kate that when he helped her with Ben, and told Kate the reason he's doing it is because of Juliet. All Juliet knows is that her world is crumbling around her, and to top it off she thinks her man may be having feelings for someone else. James didn't have time to straighten that mess out because of the alarms, but he will.

haha, yeah, I think there was an element of that in that scene, too. Jack and Sawyer are butting heads again, so Juliet and Kate make the decision, lol.

I mentioned this in the Suliet group, but I'll elaborate here. I think Kate remembers what Juliet told her after Jack's surgery before they left. Kate remembers that Juliet basically stepped aside for Kate and Jack, probably because she didn't want to be the "other woman" anymore. Kate respects that and is staying out of Juliet and Sawyer's relationship. She's curious, of course, about the change in Sawyer, which she proved in Whatever Happened, Happened with all her questions on their walk, but she's not back for Sawyer. Locke even tried using that to get her back to the island and she still said no, quite vehemently. Juliet's definetly glad she didn't have to tell Kate to "stay away," but she's still going to want to mark her territory, so to speak. She let Kate have Jack (and if Kate blew, that's her problem not Juliet's), but Kate isn't getting her James!

And, while Juliet was talking to Kate, Jack and Daniel* are both competent enough to remember the numbers themselves and go without Kate...'cause really, if they wandered aimlessly in the jungle for long enough, the others would have found them. She was also letting Kate make her own decision...here's the code, they heard it too, stay here or go with them...but Sawyer didn't even let Kate answer Jack. Hell, if Kate had gone with Sawyer and Juliet, Juliet would get to see what we saw in WH,H, and maybe stopped worrying.

*On a slighty amusing side note...Am I the only one who sees Jack and Daniel there and thinks of Jack Daniels, or have I just been pregnant for too long?

Right on the money. I totally agree with your post about everything. you are very perceptive as to what all the characters are thinking IMO.

Congrats....when's the baby due? Boy/girl? And will you name him/her Juliet or James? (LOL)

I know you can't drink Jack Daniels right now, although I'm sure you wouldn't mind a swig every now and then to deal with the never-ending pregnancy and all the fun little side effects that come with it..........morning sickness, swollen feet, indigestion, no comfortable sleeping position - ever, the baby using your ribs as a jungle gym.......GOOD TIMES!

Trust me, in a few years (terrible twos) that bottle is going to come in awfully handy!!

I really enjoyed the episode and I think it has shown us that James and Juliet are solid and still have each other's back. The "freckles" comment is just like him calling Jack - Doc. It means nothing. It's a nickname. Millions of people use nicknames every day, it doesn't mean that they all "secretly love the person they are referring to." Juliet will see, and James will also see the depth of love they have for one another soon enough.

I was also glad to see Kate and Juliet acting like adult women and concentrating on the real problem at hand and not being catty with each other. Well, there's no reason for them to be nasty with each other. Whatever Happened, happened. And whatever happened between James and Juliet - - IS STILL HAPPENING , whether you choose to actually see it or not.
