It's All GoodA place to talk about how much you like the character and other positive things. If you don't like the character please don't post it in here.
OMG...Doc, it's all clicking now. So Kate made a plea bargain that prevents her from leaving the state of California in a devious plan to snag the rich doctor and steal all his money in a highly publicized divorce settlement...so that she's free to marry some Southern hick from Tennessee?
GENIUS!
To come back to the topic....Kate: "If you weren't here Jack....I'd be SO HAPPY!" Right, or no?
You could put Jack and Kate on a New York City street and have them pass each other at rush hour on a Wednesday morning. And they would stop and turn, slowing to watch each other go by. They know each other within the context of a universal recognition. They have met before this life. And, they will meet again, in another.

Erica,
It does get exhausting always having to point out the freakin' obvious to people, but hey, I do what I can.
Now, according to Kate, she has to explain to Aaron all the time where Jack is because Aaron asks about him, right? If Jack was such a horrible influence on Aaron then why would he keep asking where he is?? I mean, if Jack was a horrible influence on Aaron, I doubt Kate would be all smiley and wide-eyed happy when she sees Aaron in his bed and Jack there reading to him. (unless..... Jack was about to "do something" just then, but couldn't because Kate was standing there "spying" on him to make sure he didn't do anything bad to Aaron.) Oh my darlings, I've seen it all.
So.......Kate: "Jack, if you weren't here....... then Aaron would be much safer and I would get to sleep in my own nightgown, since you horde all the money and make me sleep in your old stinky shirts!"

Eh, I just let people see what they see, then I simply knock them over the head with the fact that they're wrong in my own lovely, polite, yet subtle way.

Jack is simply a monster who is out to own, torture and destroy every human life he possibly can. Poor little Aaron, I mean you would think after all the attention he paid to the infant on the Island when Claire would come rushing to him when she thought the baby was sick, he would have told her to buzz off, because he's not a pediatrician, he's a bloody surgeon who knows nothing about whiny babies! The nerve of him to do such a thing. And ZOMG, reading a story in a soft and passionate tone to the poor child that adores him...HORRIBLE. Why doesn't he simply ignore the child and scream, "Go to bed!"? Because Jack has other plans for the defenseless child. Mwhahaha!

In all seriousness, Jack...if you weren't here.....Locke would kill everybody and once again declare himself the King of the Island. I don't think I could take that. "The Jack Show" foreva!

I can't wait for Jack to clean himself up, and I think Ben is actually going to help him with that. (even if it is to suit his own agenda in the end - at least someone else is finally helping Jack), and Jack will be back to the Jack we all know and love! (Okay, let's see how many times I can say the name "Jack" in my post!)
Not only is Ben going to help Jack get himself back, he's going to play a part in Jack getting someone else back. Although, I have a feeling once someone sees the old Jack is back, it won't take much for that to happen!
What I particularly love is the lack of spoilers regarding Mr. Jack Shepard. I realize some think hope that means that now Jack will just be hanging out in the background with all the other extras, and that his time is done. Hmmmm, Jack is pretty much the star and hero of the show and he has never just stood around in the background doing nothing. Has he ever?? Ummmm, NO!
TPTB are simply saving the best so that the audience will be surprised about some things. I mean, it's no fun knowing everything that's going to happen. Because after a spoiler has played out in your head and you think you know how it's going to go - when it actually airs and it's not quite what you were expecting, it's kind-of a let down. Don't get me wrong, it's all still great, but I think it bodes extremely well for Jack's character that tptb aren't letting too much out there about him and his story. Because when that finally airs, it is always amazing and better than expected!!
And I guess since we all know that Jack is going to save the day, and save everyone AGAIN, then there's really no need to keep putting it out there!
oh doc, so well said. you can say jack 100 times and its' still not enough!
i'll never forget the flashforward of him at kates in a sheet and i didn't know anything about that at all. they keep the most important things about jack under covers! 3 days and this day is almost halfway over!

Well, it would have been nice if they let THAT slip!
